Its been a tough year for the whole sector and though we cannot exchange stories within the traditional setting of the corridors and communal spaces of the show, we are offering a series of chat-rooms and discussion channels to simulate the social experience of the show. Each channel will enable school leaders, function leads, governors and education policy experts to ask questions and swap tales from lockdown, summer and the return to school. Before the Schools and Academies Education Board give their vision for the sector, we invite the show's alumni and wider schools' community to think about what burning questions they may have for our panel of experts.
Up to 8,587 children and young people with SEND are currently classed as ‘awaiting provision’ for a school place and have no access to any type of educational provision at all. schools and local authorities are still facing a £1bn funding shortfall.
In this roundtable we invite education leads, finance directors and school leaders from across the sector to share their priorities for curriculum design. We sketch out emerging practices from the data-driven to the fully integrated.
Join DfE and CCS to see how this deal can save your school time and money on agency supply. Helen Lumb from DfE and Jenny Nugent from CCS will be there to answer your questions.
An exploration into the potential benefits of ‘growing your own’ teachers through involvement in Initial Teacher Training (ITT). This roundtable hosted by NASBTT considers the options available to schools who are not currently engaged in ITT and the potential benefits to your school and wider communities. It will also highlights how trainees are an important, and effective part, of post-Covid recovery in schools. You will hear about the contribution that trainees have made, and will continue to make in schools this academic year given the likelihood of ongoing Covid disruption. Within all this there is an important differentiation to be made between trainees being seen as a trusted and valuable resource, who need nurture and support, rather than as a cheap ‘extra pair of hands’. Issues such as placements and effective mentoring will be discussed.
This round table is a unique opportunity to have all your procurement problems answered by our team of school experts who have advised hundreds of schools in the last year alone. They have helped Headteachers, CFOs, Bursars and Business Managers on successful tendering, writing winning specifications, including complex procurement, such as catering and cleaning.
Tendering can be complex. Lots of considerations must be made:

In this session Claire-Marie will explore the rapid changes in society and what this this means for educators today
