ON-SITE COVID SAFETY

SAFE SHOWS FOR EVERYBODY

We are highly committed to the health and safety of our visitors, exhibitors and wider community. As the events industry begins to re-open and we prepare for our first face-to-face event since 2019, COVID health and safety will be a huge priority for us.

We will continue to work very closely with the venue to ensure that we meet the COVID-19 regulations and government safety updates. Please read on for more information on our promise to keep you safe at our event and also for some very important guidelines you will need to follow to ensure the safety of every other attendee to our show.

NHS COVID Pass

We ask all attendees to bring with them (either on their phone or as a printed copy) a copy of their NHS COVID Pass valid on the day of event entry. You will be asked to show your pass every time you enter the event space, so please keep it to hand at all times during the event.

You can get a NHS COVID Pass, obtained most easily via the NHS App, if you have been double vaccinated 14 days prior to the event or you have a negative LTF or PCR test within 48 hours of creating the pass. You can find more information on the NHS COVID Pass for events here.

REGISTER IN ADVANCE

Register for your ticket before the show as we will have a reduced contact-registration system. Securing your ticket in advance will ensure our staff will be able to manage the crowd and plan effectively for number of attendees.

TEMPERATURE CHECK

If you have access to a thermometer, we highly recommend taking your temperature before arriving at the venue. If you have a reading higher than 37.5°C or any COVID-19 symptoms, we politely request that you refrain from visiting our show.

PLAN YOUR VISIT

Check out our agenda, floorplan and exhibitor list and plan any meetings in advance in order to get the most out of the show in the safest way possible.

TRAVEL LIGHT

The cloakrooms at the NEC will still be open for use, however as part of safety protocols cloakrooms and catering outlets are cashless, so all customers will need to have contactless payment methods available.

DOWNLOAD BOTH NHS APPS

Please ensure you have downloaded the NHS COVID-19 contract tracing app AND the NHS App if you plan to use it to display your NHS COVID Pass on entry to the event.

FACE-COVERINGS

We will be asking you to wear face masks in more confined environments to ensure this event goes ahead safely. We will have a face masks available at the entrance to the event for every attendee if you forget your own.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

We will be providing extra space within the venue to give visitors the room for social distancing. This will include more spaced-out networking areas and theatres. As are organisers we are managing this event professionally to reduce crowding and monitor it throughout the day. We encourage you to minimise touchpoints, be aware of those around you and follow the signage at the event. When walking around the event, we ask you to please keep to the left of any gangway to minimise paths crossing. We are implementing a no handshake policy. Please refrain from this or sharing business cards with one another. Exhibitors are encouraged to used data capture devices, to ensure contact-free sharing of business details.

SANITISING STATIONS

For the purpose of personal hygiene, hand sanitiser will be present throughout the venue and every attendee will get a personal hand sanitizer at show entry. Please sanitise your hands upon entry to the show and also before using any of the self-serve registration points in the foyer.

ENHANCED CLEANING MEASURES

To ensure the safety of all, the NEC have introduced enhanced deep-cleaning measures, with an additional focus on high-frequency touch points, such as lifts, counters, toilets, doors, seating, meeting areas and hand rails.

TRACK AND TRACE

We are passionate about ensuring the safety of our visitors and exhibitors. In order to keep everyone safe, please have the NHS Track and Trace app installed on your mobile device. Using the app will allow for the local authorities to contact you if there is any need to. Please ensure you give accurate information throughout the registration process.

GIVE US YOUR FEEDBACK

Tell us how we did by completing the post-show survey that will be sent to you after the show. We highly value the feedback of all our visitors & exhibitors and would love to hear from you on anything you enjoyed, anything we can improve on and also how you found our first face-to-face 'covid-safe' show. Keep an eye on your emails after the show

Our COVID-19 Safety Plan reflects the requirements of the UK government, the local authorities, our industry association, AEO (Association of Event Organisers) and the venue at which the event is hosted. As new developments arise over the coming months, the approach will continue to adapt, and we will keep the community informed of any changes. If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to support you.
