David Anderson is Deputy Principal with a Teaching and Learning focus at Uppingham Community College, an 11-16 school in Rutland. He worked initially as a Science teacher in a purpose-built school incorporating special school students into a mainstream setting in East Sussex. He then worked in a large North London school where he became Head of Science before moving to Rutland where he progressed to senior leadership. He is passionate about equity in education and is driven by raising awareness amongst teachers and school leaders about the massive variation in our schools. He aims to challenge the continued acceptance of a segregated and stratified education system in England.
