Having worked across the primary education sector for her entire career, Lorna has developed a passion for championing the most vulnerable pupils through improving provision for them and their families.
After a successful teaching career which included by being part of the local authority SEND team as a Leading SENCo, Lorna became a head teacher leading the school out of special measures. She has now taking on a new role as Head of Inclusion and EMAT’s training hub focusing on developing highly effective practitioners across the family of schools, ensuring the Trust’s vison of ‘Every Child being the best they can be’ is achieved.
Lorna is married with two children, one of which has a diagnosis of Autism and finds the education system challenging. She is also a foster parent.
