David Lowbridge-Ellis has over 16 years’ experience in the classroom and has been a senior leader for more than 11 of those. Deputy Head Teacher of Barr Beacon School in Walsall, he leads on curriculum, feedback, parental engagement and equality and diversity.

His work has been featured by Schools Week, SecEd, The Key for School Leaders, the SSAT, Teacher Toolkit, the National Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools, the Centre for LGBTQ+ in Education, the BBC, ASCL, LGBTEd, the DfE and on various podcasts.

An SLE for assessment, he has worked with many schools in the UK and worldwide to help them revolutionise their practice. In his time away from education, he runs the hub for the burgeoning online community of queer James Bond fans and writes a travel blog with his husband.
