Eddisons (Confirmed)

Heading up the Eddisons Building and Project Consultancy team, Ian is a chartered Building Surveyor (FRICS) with over 25 Years of service within this field. He is also a Member of the Association of Project Managers (MAPM)

Having joined Eddisons in October 2010, it wasn’t long before he made Partner and now actively heads up the Building and Project Consultancy team, managing all offices nationally (6 offices and circa 40+ staff).

He has in depth knowledge and experience within the education sector, working for central bodies, DFES and Learning & Skills Council and BIS.  Since 2014, Ian has been acting for schools and multi academy trusts direct, delivering CIF and SCA projects.  He has personally achieved over £50m of funding over the past 5 years with Eddisons for schemes ranging between £35k and £1.6m

This has included:

  • Securing 2 rounds of CIF funding for flat roof refurbishment at Rastrick High school, circa £3m – 3rdround pending
  • Woldgate School and 6thform college – £1.3m Roof refurbishment/ including window replacement
  • Currently delivering £1.5m new build block at Cambridge Park, Grimsby
  • Various boiler replacement schemes from 100k through to £750k
  • Fire safety works (fire doors/ compartmentation/ fire stopping/ emergency lighting etc) contracts ranging from £100k – £600k
  • Safety Guarding works across multiple sites – £50k to £550k

Alongside this, Ian has great involvement in a range of estates management projects with larger trusts outside of CIF and prioritising and planning the allocation of SCA. There are numerous projects planned for the new year when hopefully the world will return to something more like ‘normal’!

When asked for some soundbites to add to his bio, Ian suggested: Very good looking, great sense of humour, own teeth, full driving licence(!)
