Speaker profile

Leanne Charlery-Francis

Teacher of Health and Social Care
Leyton Sixth Form College (Invited)

Leanne currently teaches at Leyton Sixth Form College in East London, but has worked in various Further Education settings for over 10 years.  She has taught Early Years and Health and Social Care between Entry level 3 and Undergraduate level 6, using a range of assessment methods.

She first began using Turnitin with adult Foundation Degree learners and Undergraduates, but remained paper marking for BTEC and CACHE qualifications.  For the past four years, she has used Turnitin at post 16 level for BTEC Health and Social Care, which she has found transformational for assessing, providing feedback and recording outcomes. Leanne has trialled other feedback tools, but found Turnitin holistically favourable and preferred by students.
