Steve is the Chief Executive of Keystone Knowledge, an organisation focussed on supporting schools and Trusts develop effective and student focussed operations. He is also the CEO of Oak Multi Academy Trust – a group of schools serving children between the ages of 3-16 in the UK.
With a background in not for profit organisations ranging from being held at gunpoint in disaster zones, managing finance for international relief projects, being an accredited trainer for the UN and delivering capacity building programmes in 16 countries, as well as being an School Business Leader in a single school through to leading his current group of schools, and running his own school support business, Steve has experienced and lived the challenges that school leaders face.
He completed his MBA in 2017 with a thesis about Improving the Quality of Management in Schools and this year is embarking on a Doctorate on applying the 5 key principles of Learning Organisations to schools. He has completed the L7 School Financial and Operational Leadership qualification, and is a Fellow of the Institute of School Business Leadership, where he has chaired the Fellow Assessment Panel for the last 3 years, as well as being a Fellow of the Chartered Managers Institute, the Royal Society of the Arts, and is a Member of the Institute of Directors.
